Surprising sailing in the sunshine for #MMYC Winter Series and 2 handed Races. A charging tide in variable breezes made for some challenging sailing at times, with most boats taking a bit of time out at Banks Buoy and one or two stopping for lunch.
In all, a pretty good weekend of sailing, thanks everyone! Results on both days as follows: Truxton in first, followed by Not Negotiable in second and River Rebel, third. No frills on Sunday won by Sophie Rose.
As we approach the last races of the 2020 winter series, we look forward to events on the near horizon: Champagne breakfast prizegiving at the MOSC on the 20th September from 0900. Please forward your numbers from each boat to info@mmyc.org.nz. Tickets are $20 but there are a couple of free tickets per boat.
Then we look forward to October and the Legends Regatta: Entries are now open and early bird prices are in effect. Make 2020 your year to enter, with no holidays abroad, what better way to spend a long weekend with your family and friends?
