Happy Christmas to all yachties in Mt Maunganui.
We celebrated the year end with a raft up at Omokoroa beach. The weather was kind and the the water was warm.
5 boats turned up and enjoyed the afternoon sun, drinks and a meal. The children and Richard Harrison entertained everyone with bombs from the bimini of The Wizard.
The highlight of the afternoon was the inaugural coke bottle boat race. Many well thought out craft appeared – largely adhering the “no motor’s, no glue’ rules.
The prize (of a trophy and toy bottle of rum) was taken by Gary in the multi hull division.

The next adventure event will be Saturday 12 January or Sunday 13 January. Details to be provided.
